Joey’s family would like to raise hogs. They have room on their land to do so. If they had this business it would provide for all of the family’s daily needs. Currently their only income is unstable and comes from selling root vegetables and abaca making. They currently earn only $21 a month!
Joey’s family consists of his father, Rolex, his mother, Analiza, and his two siblings, Cristine (7), and Adrian (4). Neither of his siblings have sponsors. Joey is a sweet little boy who really feels a responsibility as the eldest son. He enjoys his family life and working with his father. Joey also enjoys telling his sponsor about his life in Tabacco.
In order for Joey’s family to start raising hogs, they would need the following supplies:
5 piglets
3 sacks of pre-starter
3 sacks of hog starter
8 sacks hog grower
8 sacks of hog fattener

Below is an excerpt from Stephanie’s writings on her Aura’s House projects:
“My family has been sponsoring through Children International for a little over a year now. We sponsor seventeen children in five countries. It has been wonderful to build a personal relationship with all of our sponsor children and we always look forward to their letters and photographs…
…I know from experience that Income Generating Projects are extremely helpful to these families. In many cases their income will increase dramatically. It makes a huge difference in their daily welfare as well as their ability to save money and plan for the long term. It offers them hope for the future and the ability to work towards their goals. Sponsoring so many children, I am financially unable to fund every project by myself and that’s why I am so grateful to Aura’s House and to everyone who donates. Thank you so much!”

Today I am donating $400 to this project just enough almost complete this project and am looking for someone to close it out for me, the balance left is just under $100. I am having my donation matched by my employer Bank of America and the matching will go to our Ana Home Workshop project in Ecuador, so help me see this one closed and check your employer as they may also have a matching program too!!
Let’s get those pigs onsite and growing!!
