Ana Gomez of Ecuador- Progress on the New Workshop

17 September 2009 No Comment

Children International has sent us new photos of Ana Gomez and her family in her father’s workshop. They received new tools that were purchased for the electronic workshop as well as a new sign that has been installed at their home. The workshop is still being completed. Recently, Aura’s House donors contributed $2770 so that Ana’s father who is disabled can contribute towards the family income by starting this homeĀ  repair business.

Ana’s father has already started working and has fixed a number of electrical appliances and items for people in the community. The Children International staff in Ecuador informs us that many of the family’s neighbors are excited about this income-generating project for the family. They have been actively spreading the news around the community that the business is open.

The family continues to be optimistic and very grateful for the opportunity Aura’s House donors are giving them.
