At first I was concerned about her 75% average given that she was always top dog in her village school. But now she is in a private school with kids who have had a better education/ more opportunities all along. I imagine the work must be harder and none of the other kids have to deal with the chores she has. I sort of felt that way my freshman year of University coming from a so-so public school and being surrounded by wealthier students who went to the best schools.

I am so proud of her and I know she is going to do amazing. Looking forward to the continuation of her project.

I'm sure Aura is making a tremendous effort to keep up with her school and house chores. The glow in her face portraits all her acomplishments.

I was so happy to see she is really enjoying school and really taking advantage of the opportunity given to her as a result of the fundraiser. She is proof that people really do want to help themselves and sometimes just need a helping hand to do so. I am sure she will make a great teacher and help the poor children in her community one day. :)

YAY for Aura! I was privileged to meet her and her family along with Kristen a few years ago when we flew down to Guatemala and Honduras. What a wonderful girl with a great heart. Her family also impressed me - nice, genuine people who, although materially poor, are definitely rich in the things that matter. Can't wait for the second tuition project!
