Household Needs Project for Jessabel Bajada (11) of the Philippines
Our goal was to raise $350. Your donations will go toward improving the living conditions of Jessabel (11) and her family of the Philippines. This project raised money for the following gifts: home repair materials, grocery items, a plastic clothes drawer, a kerosene stove, kitchenware, school shoes, rubber shoes, an electric fan, rice, meal expenses, and transportation expenses. All projects on the Aura’s House site are 100% US tax deductible.
$385 Raised! Thank you.

The family’s housing condition is poor. They do not have their own wall. The house is built against the wall of the neighbor. There is no wall on 2 adjacent sides of the multi-use room of the entire house. Instead, they used old mats and blankets to cover the open area. They also do not have their own toilet. There are no household items found inside except for a double deck bed and a small wooden table where the dish drainer is placed. With the meager income of the family, they could hardly support all their needs.

“Jessabel is from The Philippines. She is 11 years old. She lives in a small home with two younger sisters and a younger brother. She likes to read and play games, and she helps her mother by cooking, washing dishes, and washing clothes.
Jessabel is a very sweet girl. She writes to say hello and tell me about her life. She has become a talented story teller, telling me funny and sweet stories from her life. It has been a treasure to see her grow up and learn so much.
Jessabel’s family lives in extreme poverty. Her family’s income is $35 a month. The family lives in a slum area. In every photo I see of Jessabel, she is smiling. I can imagine the life they have is very hard, but she never complains. She sends me letters filled with love and hope.
This fund raiser is for her family. It is an opportunity to make their life a little better.”
