Hog Raising Project for John Fernandez (6) of the Philippines
Our goal was to raise $700. Your donations will go toward creating a income generating project for John (6) and his family of the Philippines. This project will raise money for the following gifts: three hogs, feed sacks, and contingencies. In addition, your donations will go toward supplying John with clothing, footwear, and groceries. All projects on the Aura’s House site are 100% US tax deductible.
John’s mother is a single parent and has difficulty supporting her son’s daily needs. Currently, she receives $50 a month from her siblings in exchange for caring for their ailing father. A hog raising project could enable her to meet more of John’s daily needs. John’s grandfather already owns a pigpen that can accommodate about three pigs.

John is the sponsor child of Sarah O. from British Columbia, Canada.
“I’ve been sponsoring John for almost a year now. He’s six years old and lives in the Philippines. He likes drawing and playing basketball. The letters he writes are very sweet, and they feature much better penmanship than I had at his age!
John lives in a one-room house with his mother Rosemarie, a single parent. Rosemarie is unemployed, although she has family members who pay her to take care of her ailing father. From these family members, she receives about fifty dollars a month. I am excited to be able to give her the opportunity to increase her income and improve the quality of her and her son’s lives.
This Income Generating Project would allow the family to start a hog raising project. Rosemarie already has access to a pigpen owned by her father; she just needs a bit of help in buying the necessary supplies. She believes this business would be a big help, and would allow her to better provide for her son’s daily needs.
Thank you for joining me in improving the lives of John and his family!”
