Refat Writes:

Hello. My name is Refat Ara Jerin and I’m a new intern here at Aura’s House. I am currently a full-time college student (majoring in Film and Digital Media) in my junior year at The American University of Rome. I am a native of Bangladesh, but now I live here in Italy with my family. I have been traveling for much of my life, visiting other countries and experiencing all kinds of different cultures. I have spent time living in different parts of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

I am very excited about the opportunity to help out here at Aura’s House. Aura’s House is a truly positive organization that creates genuine benefits—by providing for housing, basic health care, education, and more—for actual people with real needs. As a young lady from Bangladesh, I know first-hand what it means to live in a developing country and face the challenges and needs that many people struggle to meet in their daily lives. My internship at Aura’s House gives me the opportunity to make my own contribution to this cause and help improve the lives of people in places as far away as Guatemala, India, and Zambia—all at the same time!
