The More, the Better – We Have New Volunteers

14 March 2011 No Comment

Refat Ara Jerin is a student at The American University of Rome and is currently an Intern at Aura’s House for the Spring 2011 semester. She writes:

Hi! Refat here again. Today I want to welcome two of our new volunteers, Claire Moskowitz and Dorothy Brown, who will be helping us at Aura’s House.

Claire is a senior from the United States, graduating this May in Interdisciplinary Studies from The American University of Rome. She’s currently working on her final Capstone Project, making an awesome documentary about the Jewish Community in Poland. Good Luck Claire! Why does she want to help us? Well, because she thinks that Aura’s House is a great organization, for a great cause. She will be volunteering in fund raising with bake sales on the AUR campus. She will also help me with the web graphics and with creative ideas. How great is that?

Welcome also, Dorothy Brown to Aura’s House and to Rome at the same time. Dorothy is from the United States and is a junior from Boston College, majoring in Communications. She is doing a semester abroad here at The American University of Rome. She will also be volunteering with Claire to help raise more funds for Aura’s House. Great just became awesome!

Claire and Dorothy are currently enrolled in Professor Palana’s new course: Media, Art, and Social Activism, and that’s why Claire and Dorothy took the opportunity to work with us!

Thank you Professor Palana, Claire, and Dorothy and welcome to Aura’s House!
