Welcome Inga, Our New Aura’s House Partner!

21 April 2011 One Comment

Aura’s House is fortunate enough to have a new partner: Inga Katelari of Cyprus. Inga has been volunteering with Aura’s House over the past few months doing things such as creating blog posts, working on search engine optimization for the site, and helping to publicize our projects at Aura’s House.

She writes:

My name is Inga and I live in the beautiful and sunny island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. I originally come from Latvia, the Baltic States, which is in Northern Europe but moved to Cyprus in 2002. I am 29 years old and working as a legal counsel in the field of corporate and contract law. I have been a sponsor with Children International (CI) since early 2009 and I am currently sponsoring six awesome kids with CI. I believe that every child deserves to have access to such basic necessities like clean water, food, shelter, medical assistance and an opportunity to go to school and gain knowledge. Sadly, so many children, growing up in poverty and often without one or both parents, do not have such opportunity. That’s why it is so important to step in and help at least some of these poor children as much as we possibly can.

I personally had benefited from selfless people’s generosity at the very crucial moment in my life when I lost both parents right after finishing high school. I experienced first-hand what is like to have no one’s help or support, no opportunity to study and nothing to hope for… until I met the right people who had given a helping hand and the chance to become what I wanted to be. I strongly believe in the importance of paying it forward and in great causes and projects, which help children and their families to overcome poverty and hardships of their daily struggles. That is also the reason why I joined Aura’s House Team. Aura’s House is giving a real help to actual children in need so that they can have hope for their future. My biggest wish is that more people become involved in this great effort called Aura’s House!

Thanks again Inga, for all your help with the site and we look forward to continuing to work together on behalf of needy children around the world though Aura’s House projects.

Best wishes,

Kristen, Ana, Mike, Christina, Heather, Courtenay, and the Aura’s House Team
