Thank You and Farewell to Aura’s House Intern, Refat Ara Jerin

23 May 2011 One Comment

Aura’s House would like to thank our Spring 2011 intern, Refat Ara Jerin for all of her hard work over the past few months. Refat, a Junior Film and Digital Media major at The American University of Rome originally comes from Bangladesh. This past semester she contributed multiple blog posts, created web banners, threw a successful bake sale that helped finish off our recently completed India Tuition Project, and most recently created this lovely and creative animated introduction for the Aura’s House site:

If you like it, please pass it on.

Refat writes the following about her internship experience at Aura’ s House:

Hello everybody, Refat here again. With a great regret I am here to say goodbye to Aura’s House. My journey was not just good, but great and amazing! For the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve succeeded by helping Aura’s House, especially the children in India who can now go to school.

I must say, my journey with Aura’s House wouldn’t have been possible without Professor Palana’s great contribution, by helping me every step of the way as I tried to do something good and productive. And I must also thank Aura’s House volunteers, Claire Moskowitz and Dorothy Brown, who helped and inspired me throughout. Their biggest contribution in helping me was with the bake sale at The American University of Rome in the campus garden.  It was our biggest success and we helped to finish off the India Tuition Project.

I want to thank everyone who was there for me throughout my internship course. I know I will miss helping needy families in developing countries, but I know I can always come back  to volunteer and always contribute. Good luck Aura’s House and to all the needy children and families. Thanks for a great opportunity to make this world a better place to live!

Refat Ara Jerin

Aw shucks, Refat! Thank YOU and don’t become a stranger.  Also, stay tuned for photos and updates regarding all those children in India that you helped to get an education.

Best wishes,

Kristen and the Aura’s House Team
