Aura Student Teaching

22 August 2011 5 Comments

Hi Aura’s House Visitors!  Children International just sent another update on Aura’s progress as a student teacher.  View Aura’s Tuition Project.

We are happy to share photographs sent from the Children International office in Guatemala.  Aura is in her classroom doing her student teaching with a group of third graders.  The local office indicated that Aura continues to enjoy her studies and her work.   She is looking forward to learning more and reaching her goal of becoming a teacher.

Thanks to all of you, Aura’s House donors, for giving Aura such a tremendous opportunity!

It’s SO great to see Aura living her dream! She is a very determined young lady and I’m so proud of her!

I concur, Ana! I just hope that she wasn’t annoyed or nervous to have someone from CI come in and take photos during her class. As a teacher myself, these things don’t bother me a lick. However as a Newbie, I most certainly would have felt funny.

Great job Aura. I am so proud of all you are accomplishing! xoxo

I’m so glad to see Aura reach her goal. For us that have seen her grow over the years can appreciate her efforts as well as her sponsor.
Is the classroom in her neighborhood?

So great to hear from you Olga! 🙂 Her school where she is getting training is in Guatemala City but I believe she is student teaching in or near her small village which is outside the city.
