Ella’s Room Construction Is Complete

14 November 2011 No Comment

Ella Guantero (18) of the Philippines now has two new rooms added to her family’s home.  The rooms are completely finished with their respective door and lock.  Previously Ella and several nuclear families were living in cramped quarters in just two small rooms. The family is very happy and thankful for the house additions because Ella Marie’s wish to have a room of her own is now realized through the support of her sponsor and Aura’s House donors.  Now, the family has more space and the children can enjoy privacy and comfort in their bedrooms. Ella’s family has received the following items:

Hinges
Kin dry lumber (various sizes)
Plywood
Rough Lumber
Sand (bistay)
Labor Fee

Ella writes:
“I am so happy for the support you gave to me and to my family. I will never forget your kindness. It will be a memorable one for us. My family are very happy also. We can now sleep well. I will treasure all the gifts you gave to me.”

Ella’s sponsor, Dorothée C. writes:

“I’m so happy to pass on the follow-up to Ella’s fundraiser! I truly think opening up the large envelope and seeing these photos has been on of the best days of my entire life. As you know, I have been sponsoring Ella since I was 17. Over 9 years have passed and I honestly never thought I’d be able to put together something this big and important for her and her family. I am truly so grateful to everyone at Aura’s House for letting me put her fundraiser up, as well as to the multitude of generous and kind friends, family, and even complete strangers who donated to this fundraiser. Ella’s life has been full of upheaval and dramatic changes, and I’m so happy that she’s now been given a piece of stability.”
