Education Project For Anna Marie – the Philippines
Our goal is to raise $1,100.
$1,011 raised so far… (Only $89 left to raise!)
*Everyone who donated at least $10 to this project between April 30th and June 30th, 2014 was automatically entered in our Birthday Raffle.
Special Thanks to: Luke Wood, for his very generous $300 donation that helped get this project close to being half-complete as well as the additional $50 donation of his raffle prize. Also a HUGE thanks goes to AUR’s Volunteer Club who raised $415 through their bake sale on October 14, 2014. AMAZING!
Anna Marie graduated from high school in April 2013 and is now attending a state college near her home. She is studying for a BS in Business Management program with a focus on Human Resource Development. In her thank you letter for her first semester’s tuition, she wrote, “I would like to become a successful businesswoman. I want to learn about business so when I have my own, I can help my family.” Aura’s House would like to help her achieve her dreams and empower her to lift her entire family from the clutches of poverty.
We aim to raise a total of $1,100 to purchase the following items: tuition, school uniforms, field trips, books, meals, and transportation. The funds must be raised by early April 1, 2015, so that they can be processed and sent to her college. All projects on the Aura’s House site are 100% US tax deductible and 100% of donations go to our projects and the families or communities they serve.

“Anna Marie is the first of my sponsored children to reach college age. She initially wanted to study tourism and become a Flight Attendant. This was a dream that allowed me to feel a special connection with her since I work for a major airline. Though that particular dream was crushed when she was barred from her chosen career by her height. (Apparently, you can be too short to be a flight attendant. Who knew?) She did not allow this to deter her higher goal of a better future for herself and her family. Anna elected a different course of study to which she has, admirably, dedicated herself.
I was so proud to receive her first quarter grades and read that she achieved an average of 90 percent. Anna Marie is dedicated and hard working. I have a deep belief that she is going to go far in life. In every letter she expresses not only gratitude, but a desire to help her entire family. In particular, she has mentioned her younger siblings. Anna envisions being able to pay forward the help she is receiving now by paying for her brother and sister to attend college when their time comes.
This fundraiser is for her fourth semester in college. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Even if it’s only a dollar or two, it will all add up to a brighter future for Anna Marie!”
