Update: Aura’s Progress at University in Guatemala

1 May 2014 No Comment

Hi All,

You may remember that in addition to raising funds to build Aura Yesenia (now 20) and her family a new home back in 2005, Aura’s House (named after the wonderful woman in the photo below) also helped her attend secondary school and now, University! We are so grateful for all the support that Aura’s House supporters have shown this bright young lady over the years. Now she is a working teacher and an almost-college graduate. Amazing! Read a recent article about Aura’s journey.

The latest report from Children International states, “Aura continues to work during the week as a primary school teacher and goes to school every Saturday.  She is making a huge effort to attend classes and is able to help her family with some of their basic expenses with the salary she earns as a school teacher.”  See Aura’s  Tuition Project that enabled her to continue school.
