Zoila’s New Gifts -Honduras

After the Children International staff in Honduras completed the set up of the Chicken Income Generation Project, they had a balance of about $60. Zoila and her sister received clothing, a basket of food, and hygiene items.

Ana Gomez of Ecuador – Workshop Complete and Thriving

Vickie Wiedenmann of Children International has just sent an update on Ana’s Income Generating Project .   She writes:
Dear friends,
The agency in Quito has advised us that Ana’a project is now complete and she and her family are delighted and thrilled with the new opportunities you and your donors have given them!
All in all, the entire workshop was renovated; a new bathroom was constructed and a storefront sign was placed on their home.   Ana and her father received desks, tables, chairs, shelving units, supplies and tools for the workshop.  …

Update on Ana’s Complete Income Generation Project- Ecuador

This update came a few weeks ago from Vickie Wiedenmann of Children International regarding Ana’s Income Generation project in Ecuador. She writes:

Hello everyone!

I just received an update from the agency in Quito regarding Ana’s project to provide an electrical workshop for Mr. Lema.

He has received tutoring lessons from an “electromechanic specialist” for the past four weeks.  Mr. Lema told our staff that he is confident with his knowledge and skills and appreciated the tutoring provided to him.

Zoila’s Chicken House Complete

The Children International office in Honduras has just sent photos of Zoila and the finished chicken house, as well as, the new feeders and waterers for the chickens.
The local CI office has ordered the chickens, and expect them to be delivered within the next week or so. The family will also be receiving a good supply of feed. Stay tuned for photos of the arrival of the new chicks.

Mirriam (9) of Zambia Receives Gifts

We recently received updates and photos from our recently completed Food and Household Needs Project for Mirriam of Zambia. Vickie Wiedenmann of Children International writes:

Dear Friends,

Thanks to you all — and your wonderful supporters — the special
project for Mirriam Mapaso has been completed. As you can see in the
attached photos, Mirriam received a new bunk bed, mattress, clothing
items, linens, shoes, textbooks, school uniforms, kitchen and food

Update on Nyslin’s Chicken Income Generation Project (Guatemala)

Mr. Lema’s Electronics Repair Business in Ecuador – A Success

Children International has just received a few more photographs of Ana and her family from their Quito, Ecuador office. The room that was designated as Mr. Lema’s workshop has been renovated with new floor tiles. The walls were repaired and painted, and the electrical installation to the room has been completed.

Mr. Lema has found a teacher who is willing to come to his workshop twice a week to teach him more about electronics and how to repair them. Mr. Lema is very encouraged and has great initiative and motivation …
