Vilma and Marie Pac Sut

Library Project in Honor of Barbara Rogers – Guatemala

Launched December 11, 2013. Completed May 11, 2014.

The Children’s Corner Library Project is dedicated to the late Barbara Rogers who was the caring sponsor of many children including Vilma Pac Sut pictured below with her sister, Maria.  The girls live in an area where books and educational resources are scarce and unaffordable to most people in their community. It’s our goal to help the library in Tecpan stock up on books, DVD’s, educational materials, seating and lighting, and to also have the ability to show films and multimedia materials.

Education Project for Abrahan (10) – Honduras

Launched March 28, 2014. Completed April 22, 2014.

Abrahan needed immediate assistance in order to continue attending school for this school year. Abrahan’s mother of seven can not afford tuition and to buy school supplies by herself as the family lives off of only $105 per month. She is struggling to educate Abrahan, her youngest child and her other three younger children. Sadly, Abrahan’s older siblings have already quit school and are working to help their mother. Aura’s House hoped to help Abrahan go to school and continue his education.

Emergency Project For Orphans Haripriya, Harika, and Pravalika Srinu – India

Launched January 31, 2014. Completed February 22, 2014.

Haripriya (Hari), Harika, and Pravalika are three sweet sisters who live in the Vadrevupalli Village, in the East Godavari District of India. The girls are in need of support because they lost their mother in 2010 and on New Year’s Day of this year, they also lost their father. The girls are in school and are currently staying with a lady who will be able to care for them, but they are in need of rent and other supplies. Since they have no income coming in, they need your support.

Household Needs Project for Ethel – Honduras

Launched December 3, 2013. Completed December 13, 2013.

Ethel Madrid (7) and her little brother live with their mom in a small home in Honduras. Her father has left the family so Ethel’s mom reached out with hopes that Children International could help Ethel to have a brighter future. The family has two beds, but one of them is in bad shape.  Ethel needs new clothes and shoes.  The family’s gas stove is damaged.

Household Needs Project for Andrea (7) – Colombia

Launched December 3, 2013. Completed December 13, 2013.

Andrea Carolina Pabon Florez and her family live in a one room dwelling and struggle to survive on $134 USD a month. The family has two beds that are used for six people and are in very poor condition. We aimed to raise $605 to purchase this deserving family new bunk beds and bedding as well as a wardrobe that will help give the family a safe and clean place to store their clothing.

Rosa & Friend

Library Project – Guatemala

Launched December 13, 2011. Completed June 21, 2013.

The goal of this project was to create a library in Guatemala at the SAC center. One thousand children attend this center and almost none of them can afford to buy books themselves. Having a library in the center will enable the children to better prepare for school and find employment after graduation. Rosa, the sponsor child of Anna Vershynina, attends the SAC center in Guatemala and this project is her initiative.

Floor and Tailor Income Generating Project for Habiba Khatun – India

Launched April 30, 2013. Completed November 8, 2013.

Habiba and her family live in India with a low monthly income and no floor for their home. Without a floor, their home is very damp and cold during winter and the family runs the risk for disease in the summer. Also, Habiba’s father, currently, does tailoring work for someone else. If he owned his own sewing machine, he could work directly with clients and earn a higher monthly income for the family.

Tuition Project for Christopher (10) and Judy (9) – Zambia

Launched September 27, 2013. Completed October 31, 2013.

Christopher (10) and his sister, Judy, (9) are orphans from Lusaka, Zambia and they are being raised by their aunt who has her own family. They live in extreme poverty and their aunt is unable to send Christopher and Judy to school. The fees for each child are $32 per semester with three semesters per school year and additional expenses totaling $166 per child. We aimed to raise $332 for tuition, uniforms, socks, text books, and book bags.

Tuition Project For Aura Hernandez (20) – Guatemala

Completed October 22, 2013.

Tuition and expenses for Aura’s 2nd year of University has been raised without ever needing to launch this project online.
The total needed was $468 ($234 per semester), and we’ve successfully raised that!

School Supplies Project for Yuselfi Ortiz (10) – Colombia

Launched June 15, 2013. Completed July 16, 2013.

Yuselfi lives in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is a talented child and studies hard. In order to attend public school, Yuselfi must have specific school supplies which her family can not afford to provide. We aimed to raise $195 for the following items: a physical education uniform. a daily uniform, a backpack, a pair of shoes, a pair of white shoes, a pair of black shoes, and notebooks.
