Mike’s heroic battle in the seven-day Grand to Grand Ultra Race, one of the most grueling distance races in the world, may have come to an end, but his goal to raise funds for 15 high-achieving students in The Dominican Republic for special ESL Training through Children International has not.
After months of preparation, Aura House partner, Mike Epler, bravely competed in the ‘Grand to Grand Ultra Race, to try and raise $3000 to provide 15 Dominican students with the opportunity to study English. In addition to competing, Mike compassionately has pledged to match each donation from his own funds until September 28th.

It’s time to go!
Mike Epler, Aura’s House Partner since 2005, has been training for the 273KM 7 day Grand to Grand Stage Race for the last couple of months with a strong determination and a great cause. Focused on giving the chance to 15 high-achieving Dominican students to study English, Mike made a decision to match each $1.00 donated with a $1.00 from his own funds until September 28th. (This is his second $500 match. Donations will be doubled until we reach $2350.)
Our overall goal is to raise $3,000 to enroll 15 Dominican students in an English as a Second Language Program through Children International.
Meet some of the students who are benefiting from your donations to The Dominican Republic English Tutoring Project.
