Complete: School Supplies and Income Generation Project for Daniela (8) of The Philippines: $574 Raised! Thank you!

Daniela lives with her parents and three siblings in one multi-use room in the poorest areas of Manila, the Philippines. Their home has a corrugated metal roof and they use water from a neighbor’s faucet. The family’s income has recently dropped to a mere $70 per month. Children International has informed Aura’s House that the family has the capability to generate income through sewing and a small store.

In addition to the income generation, Daniela needs school clothing and supplies for the upcoming school semester. Aura’s House plans to enable Daniela’s family to generate income and to provide Daniela with the school supplies that she needs. We aim to raise $560 for a sewing machine, groceries, items for the small store, uniform, shoes, socks, school supplies and text books.

Marfel Receives Supplies To Start Her Family’s Food Income Generating Project

Marfel (8) of the Philippines has just received the supplies necessary to expand her family business. Marfel’s mother sells balut and penoy from her home and makes a small profit each month (they are both duck egg Philipino specialties). Her father helps to sell these specialties when he gets home from work. Through your generous donations, Marfel’s parents had their seed capital for their Income Generating Project. It helped the family create their own business for them to generate income that could help supplement simple family needs. Whatever gain or profit they may earn will be used to sustain the project as well as provide for the children’s needs in school.
