Yuselfi lives in Barranquilla, Columbia. She is a talented child and studies hard. In order to attend public school, Yuselfi must have specific school supplies. We aim to raise $195 for the following items: a physical education uniform. a daily uniform, a backpack, a pair of shoes, a pair of white shoes, a pair of black shoes, and notebooks. All projects on the Aura’s House site are 100% US tax deductible.
We are incredibly saddened (and shocked) to learn that one of our dearest friends and active supporters is no longer with us. Barbara Rogers was a dedicated super-sponsor through Children International and considered herself (in her own words), “Aura’s House’s number one fan.”
Her close friend and fellow super-sponsor, Mckenzie Fritch broke the news in a wonderful tribute over at Lift One. In it she writes, “At 11:58 last night, I received an email informing me that our friend Barbara Rogers passed away quietly in her kitchen on Friday, June …
Abraham of the Emergency Education Project hasreceived his much needed school supplies thanks to the generous support of Aura’s House Donors.
Your generosity has provided Abraham with uniforms, school shoes, a backpack, and his school lunches.
Dorothee Clinton won one of our recent raffles and decided to donate her prize to her sponsor child, Cristian Pila of Ecuador.
He has received gifts from Dorothee’s generous donations. Cristian and his family came to the Quito Children International office to receive their gifts. Dorothee’s gift provided some much needed food and cleaning products for Cristian and his family.
Cristian lives with his grandmother and aunt. They had very little food in the home when Children International’s local staff visited them. When Cristian came to CI’s office to receive the food and cleaning items, he asked “Where is my sponsor?” His grandmother told him that she was far away but that she gave all of this to him because she loves him very much. He told his grandmother and the staff that he “wanted to hug his sponsor.”
