Abraham, whose family was recently helped last year with a Medical and Income Generation Project, needed immediate emergency assistance in order to attend school this February of 2013. He needed the following to be able to attend school: school uniforms, shoes, backpack, books and school lunches.

Ada and Jenifer are the sponsor children taking part in the currently active project entitled Roof Repairs and School Supplies Project. Since the tuition is due before the project will complete, Children International has proceeded with purchasing school supplies and paying tuition with the donations already collected. Aura’s House is still fundraising for the roof repairs. There are several leaks and holes in the metal roof which always cause the family problems during the rainy season. Aura’s House is very happy to report that the girls have already received their school supplies and their tuition is paid. Nsenzeni has received gifts from your generous donations for her Household Needs/Tuition Project.  Her sponsor, Barbara, recently traveled to Zambia to visit her.  Nsenzeni lives with her grandmother, Lontia in Zambia and the family has expressed their sincere thanks to all of the donors for their help.  Barbara has sent Aura’s House transcripts from two letters of thanks from Nsenseni and Lontia.  She has also included photos and an account of her experience visiting her sponsored child.  See the original Household Needs/Tuition Project for Nsenzeni.

Mike Races 250K Across the Gobi Desert in China to Raise Funds for 400 Needy Kids
Aura’s House Partner, Mike Epler has become quite the endurance and distance runner over the past few years. His latest and most challenging race is fast approaching on Sunday, June 10! The Gobi March (China) …

Jeinny (7) lives in one of the poorest neighborhoods of San Pedro Sula, Honduras with her mother, stepfather and four siblings. Unfortunately, due to her family’s lack of income, they are unable to send Jeinny to school.

The school fees total $230 per school year. The funds are needed no later than mid-January 2012 to ensure that they reach Honduras in time for enrollment. This donation will be used to provide Jeinny with school uniforms, shoes and school supplies so she could be enrolled in second grade. Also, Jeinny is going to be receiving funds for her transportation every month. We aim to raise $230 for uniforms, shoes, socks, school supplies, text books and transportation.
